Georgia Brewer

Launched in 2019 by executive producer Georgia Brewer, Code WACK! is a bold podcast that explores America’s broken healthcare system and uplifts visionary voices working toward justice and change.

Georgia is associate director and communications coordinator of the California OneCare Education Fund and its social media advocacy project, HEAL California.

For over 15 years Georgia has worked on both grassroots and social/streaming media campaigns to win healthcare equity in California and the nation. Based in Los Angeles, she works alongside allies in community groups, labor unions, advocacy organizations and more

She was inspired to fight for healthcare equity after watching her dad, who lived with a lifelong seizure disorder, be denied health insurance and forced to pay for his care entirely out of pocket. When he reached 65, the promise of America’s own publicly funded health insurance program - Medicare - came true for him, at last.
